Kathmandu, January 19. The Great earthquake that struck Nepal with an estimated magnitude of 7.8 earthquakes on April 25, 2015, reduced the ancient watchtower “Dharahara” to rubble.

6 years after the black day, Dharahara is getting its shape again. The reconstruction work has reached the final stage with 20 out of 22 floors already completed.

Senior expert of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), Raju Man Manandhar informed DCNepal that the reconstruction was supposed to be completed on September 7, 2020. But, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the work was delayed.

The reconstruction work will complete in the next 5 months, after which the people can enjoy the view of Kathmandu from the top of the remodelled tower.
