19-year-old Srishti Goswami becomes Real-life ‘Nayak’
Kathmandu, January 25. Uttarakhand, a state in northern India a 19-year-old girl Shrishti Goswami of Haridwar became the chief minister for one day yesterday. Chief Minister Srishti was welcomed at the Vidhan Sabha by Higher Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat. As the Chief Minister, Srishti held meetings with about a dozen officials of the department and gave more instructions.
On the occasion of ‘National Girl Child Day’, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat had given approval and instructions to make Srishti the Chief Minister for one day. While holding the post of Chief Minister, Srishti gave many instructions to the officials. She also ordered to repair the dilapidated bridges of the state. Srishti had chaired the review meeting at the Vidhan Sabha building from 12 noon to 3 pm yesterday.
At 3 pm, she inspected Balika Niketan and had lunch with the girls there. She left for Haridwar at 4.30 pm. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the effort was made to empower the girls of the state. Rawat said that this was done to convey the message that there is no shortage of talent among the girls of the state and they can fulfill any responsibility. Stating that Srishti has given some important instructions during her tenure, she said that education of girls, security and the people who migrate from the state are the main problems of the state.
