Hundred percent people will be vaccinated against COVID-19 in three months: PM
Kathmandu, January 27. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that hundred percent of the population will be vaccinated against COVID-19 within the next three months. Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the vaccination campaign against coronavirus, the Prime Minister assured that all Nepalis would be vaccinated within three months.
“I think all Nepalis can be vaccinated within three months,” Oli said. “We are also planning to buy more vaccines with India.”
While stating that PM said Nepal has less area of site effect rather than rest of the world, “We did not have a single test site after the outbreak.” So, we maintained social distancing. The minister of health and population, said that more than 98 percent of the people are recovered from the virus.
“We don’t just rely on vaccines,” he said. We have to adhere to health standards such as social distancing, wearing masks, hygiene and eating. ”
After the Prime Minister launched the vaccination campaign, health workers, security personnel, cleaners, drivers and ambulance drivers have been vaccinated in 120 vaccination centers across the country.
The ministry of Health and Population|(MoHP), Hridayesh Tripati informed that 12,000 people would be vaccinated today.
Nepal has become the second country in South Asia after India to launch a vaccination campaign against cororavirus. The vaccine provided by India has been started in the first phase.
Those who have been vaccinated against corona in the first phase have said that the vaccine is safe and urged everyone to be vaccinated with confidence. The director of Teku Hospital, who was vaccinated for the first time, Dr. Sagar Kumar rajbhandari, Dr. Anup Bastola, Head of Public Health Laboratory Dr. Runa Jha was vaccinated.
