Sushant Singh Rajput case: NCB named Rhea Chakraborty and 32 others
Kathmandu, March 5. India’s Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday released a list of 33 people including Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik.
The anti-drug agency had begun the investigation following the mysterious death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, last June. So far, the charge sheet filed before a special court in Mumbai has grown to nearly 12,000 pages and has already recorded statements from more than 200 witnesses.
Rhea Chakraborty and her brother were arrested under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. But, they were released on bail. 8 out of the 33 accused individuals are still in judicial custody.
According to the Bureau, a sufficient quantity of various kinds of narcotic substances were seized during the investigation. Apart from this, digital evidences such as WhatsApp chats and call records were also retrieved.
NCB has already questioned several Indian celebrities on the basis of WhatsApp chats involving drugs.
