A total of 168 Rohingya refugees moved into holding centres in Jammu and Kashmir

Kathmandu, March 7. A total of 168 Rohingya refugees have been transferred to holding centres in Jammu and Kashmir in India. The refugees include women and children as well.
The refugees are transferred in the holding centres according to section 3(2)e of the Foreigner’s Act. The centres have a capacity of accommodating 250 refugees.
The refugees are said to be living in Jammu and Kashmir without valid documents, according to a senior official. They were brought into the sub-jail buses from Jammu on Saturday.
The official said that their nationalities will be verified and the deportation process will be started accordingly.
