QUAD joins hands with France and UAE for naval exercises to dominate Indo-Pacific

Kathmandu, March 9. The QUAD group and its strategic allies France and UAE have partnered to conduct two naval exercises. The Indian Navy is also a part of the exercise which will include carrier strike groups, anti-submarine warfare aircraft and attack submarines.

UAE is joining the exercise for the first time in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman on April 25 and 27.

The naval exercises shall include warships practicing formation sailing, live firing, communications, search, rescue, damage control and personnel transfers.

The exercises will further get political support as the QUAD leaders are set to met virtually this month. The QUAD plus has its emphasis on the Indo-Pacific to decrease Beijing’s influence in the region.
