Biden announces that all adults will be eligible for vaccines by May 1
Kathmandu, March 12. US President Joe Biden has announced that all adults shall be eligible for vaccination by May 1 and situation will shift to normal by July 1.
In his first address since he took up office, he has said that he has deployed additional 4,000 troops to support the vaccination drive.
According to John Hopkins University, United States (US) is one of the worst countries around the world to be hit by the pandemic. A total of 529,102 deaths have been recorded by the virus in US.
The Biden administration have been working with Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson for vaccine purchase and administration of vaccines.
President Biden said that his goal was to get 100 million shots in people’s arms in his first 100 days in office. He also added that he will beat his goal as 100 million shots of vaccine is completed on his 60th day at office.
President Biden has assured that a website will be run for safe administration of vaccines, so that people will not have to worry for appointments.
