France enters into lockdown to avoid third wave of covid pandemic
Kathmandu, April 1. President of France, Emmanuel Macron has announced a third national lockdown for France. He has ordered schools to be closed down for three weeks as an effort to push back the threats of covid.
He has said that if they do not take the step currently, the situation could get out of control. His announcement has enabled restrictions in Paris and leading to all parts of the country by Saturday.
The number of daily new infections have increased to 40,000 since February, posing as a pressure for the hospitals.
President Macron wanted to keep the country open to protect the economy but isn’t able to do so as the virus is seen posing a bigger threat. He aims to accelerate the vaccine rollouts. Currently, 12% of the population has been inoculated.
