Nepal Korea Friendship Hospital installs its own Oxygen Plant

Kathmandu, May 14. On Friday, Bhaktapur based Nepal Korea Friendship hospital started producing oxygen with its own plant.
Hospital chairperson Sundar Shrestha told RSS that the newly installed plant daily produces medical oxygen sufficient for 24 patients.
After an initial test on Thursday, the oxygen is now being continuously supplied through a network of pipelines within the hospital.
Madhyapur Thimi Municipal corporation helped the hospital setup the plant at the cost of Rs 6.5 million.
The unit has already produced 192,000 litres of oxygen in its initial 24 hours of operation.
At present, the hospital has 42 beds for Covid-19 patients.
