Today: 14 international flights are being operated from TIA
The government has decided to allow weekly flights from Qatar and Italy.
Kathmandu, May 18. The government of Nepal has suspended all commercial flights till May 31. But, the apron of Tribhuvan International Airport(TIA) remains busy.
According to TIA, there are 14 international flights scheduled on Tuesday alone. Three charter flights of Nepal Airlines are flying to Saudi Arabia and China today.
A Himalayan Airlines cargo flight carrying goods from Chinese city of Kunming landed at TIA today morning. 5 other charter planes of Himalayan Airlines have also taken permission to enter Nepali sky.
Similarly, a cargo flight of Nepal Airlines is scheduled to arrive at noon. A charter flight of Russian Airlines is also flying from Moscow to Kathmandu.
Two flights (in a week) between India and Nepal, each by Nepal Airlines and Air India, arranged under Air Travel Bubble arrangement are also in operation.
TIA General manager Pratap Babu Tiwari informed that the government also decided to allow weekly flights from Qatar and Italy.
