Kathmandu, May 21. Israel and Hamas have agreed for ceasefire across the Gaza Strip on Friday.
The Gaza truce was mediated by Egypt. The office of Israeli prime minister Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the decision was “unanimously” approved by the ministers.
The ceasefire comes after 11 days of Israeli-Palestine hostilities. It is said that Israel fired over 4,300 rockets during this month’s conflict, killing 232 Palestinians.
US President Biden has pledged humanitarian assistance for the reconstruction of Gaza with help of other stakeholders and international organizations.
While Biden urged Netanyahu for de-escalation to control the conflict, it is said that US was committed to replenish the Iron Dome interceptors for Israel.
Biden has said that the aid will be co-ordinated with the Palestinian authorities.
