Tamil Nadu couple gets married on an airplane amidst coronavirus lockdown

Kathmandu, May 24. A couple from Tamil Nadu, India has got married on a domestic flight from Madurai to Thoothukudi.
Rakesh and Dheekshana got married on a chartered flight on May 23, attended by 130 guests. The couple claimed that all 130 guests have had their RT-PCR tests done and boarded the flight after testing negative.
The Tamil Nadu government has extended the lockdown until May 31, with one day of eased lockdown in-between. The couple then thought to make their wedding memorable by getting married on an airplane.
The DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) has ordered an inquiry over the incident and the crew of the SpiceJet flight has been taken off duty. It is said that the airport officials were unaware of the mid-air marriage ceremony.
The couple had also married in a private ceremony a week earlier.
A couple tied the knot on-board a chartered flight from Madurai, Tamil Nadu. Their relatives & guests were on the same flight.
