Ramdev, Adityanath’s books included in syllabus in UP university
Kathmandu, June 2. Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India has included Yoga Guru Ramdev and Chief Minister (CM) Adityanath’s books as a part of the undergraduate course in the university.
The changes were made after the Uttar Pradesh government had recommended them.
Ramdev’s Yoga Chikitsa Rahasya and Adityanath’s Hathyoga: Swaroop Evam Sadhna are included as a part of the philosophy course. Both of the books are upon Yoga and will be taught along other philosophers such as Aristotle and Plato.
Pro-vice-chancellor of the university, Y. Vimala had said to The Telegraph, “We didn’t take the decision on our own. We received a recommendation from the state government and included it in the undergraduate philosophy syllabus”
Ramdev had recently been in the news for criticizing allopathy and calling it as “stupid science”. He withdrew his statements after backlash from doctors and a letter from the union minister.
