UAE government sends hospital supplies to Kathmandu
Kathmandu, June 2. On Wednesday, a special cargo aircraft carrying hospital supplies from the United Arab Emirates landed in Kathmandu.
The medical cargo consisted of equipment such as ventilators, hospital trolleys, medical masks, gowns, and goggles for frontline health workers.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the aid was supplied by the UAE government in response to the request made by the Nepali government.
In the brief ceremony organized at the Tribhuvan International Airport, the UAE deputy ambassador to Nepal handed over the aid to a senior official of the Nepali Ministry of Health and Population.
The Government of Nepal has extended appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for their valuable support in Nepal’s battle against coronavirus.
