UML leader Jhalanath Khanal referred to Delhi for further treatment

Kathmandu, June 16: CPN (UML) senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal, who had been receiving treatment at Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu for his various health problems, is to be flown to New Delhi in India today.

According to Khanal’s personal secretary Krishna Bhattarai, he is being taken to Delhi for further treatment. Leader Khanal will be treated at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi.

Somnath Bastola, corporate communications chief of the Hospital said that the former Prime Minister has been referred to New Delhi for further treatment in consultation with doctors involved in his treatment and his family. Khanal, who earlier contracted COVID-19, was admitted to the hospital on June 14 for low hemoglobin counts and respiratory problems.

Meanwhile, Khanal has urged CPN (UML) general secretary Ishwor Pokharel, who had gone to meet him at the Hospital today, to make all efforts to keep the party unity intact.
