5.7 magnitude earthquake strikes Japan, no tsunami warning

Kathmandu, June 20. Japan has been hit by an earthquake on Sunday. 

The 5.7 magnitude earthquake had an epicenter 37 kilometers northeast of Shimo-Furano.

According to German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the earthquake struck at a depth of about 141 kilometers.

The exact time of the first wave was recorded after sunset on Sunday 20 June 2021 at 8:08 pm local time (4:53 pm Nepali Time).

No casualties and damages have been reported so far. The government has not issued any warnings for Tsunami.
