Anu Malik trending on Twitter after Israel wins gold at the Olympics
Anu Malik has been trolled by the users for copying Israel's national anthem for one of his compositions
Kathmandu, August 2. Indian music composer Anu Malik has been trending on Twitter after Israel won a gold medal in artistic gymnastics.
Israel’s national anthem was played after the win and people noticed composer Malik’s earlier compositions which had identical music with Israel’s national anthem. An Anu Malik-composed song ‘Mera Mulk Mera Desh’ from the film Diljale is said to be copied from Israel’s national anthem Hatikvah.

Diljale released in 1996 which had Ajay Devgn and Sonali Bendre in the lead roles. Anu Malik was the music composer for the film and the song ‘Mera Mulk Mera Desh’ plays on several occasions throughout the movie.
After finding out that Israel’s national anthem and the song are identical, the composer has been trolled by the people for copying another country’s national anthem.
Malik has been accused of plagiarism earlier as well. He has been accused of copying songs from other countries such as UK, Egypt, Spain and Italy.
