Tea-seller from Kolkata sings Kishore Kumar’s songs while selling tea (with viral video)
Kathmandu, August 7. A tea- seller from Kolkata, India singing Kishore Kumar’s songs while selling tea has gone viral.
In the video, for a moment, it feels like if the tea-seller is lip-syncing the songs, but it is not. The tea-seller has been identified as Paltan Nag, who is 56 years old.
He is singing Kishore Kumar’s ‘Main Shayar Badnaam’ in the video on the occasion of the singer’s birth anniversary. A customer at the shop recorded the video and uploaded it on Facebook.
According to an article in India Today, Nag had to support his family at a young age, therefore couldn’t pursue his passion for singing. He has said that Kishore Kumar is his idol and wishes to pursue playback singing one day. He also added that a lot of talent is wasted in the country due to lack of backing, giving an example of his situation.
