Kathmandu, October 7. Japan was hit by an earthquake on Thursday.
The 6.1 magnitude earthquake had an epicenter 16 kilometers south of Chiba city.
According to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the earthquake struck at a depth of about 61 kilometers.
The exact time of the first wave was recorded on Thursday, 7 October 2021 at 10:41 pm local time (07:26 pm Nepali Time).
The earthquake caused damage to the national power grid, triggering a blackout in 250 households inside Tokyo city.
The Japan Meteorological Agency has not issued any warnings for Tsunami.
