Kathmandu, October 30. As winter approaches, the mountain belt of Nepal has experienced chilly days.
The Kathmandu Valley’s minimum temperature has dropped to 10.6 degrees Celsius today, 1.5 degrees less than Friday.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the average temperature of the country has begun to drop by up to 2 degrees Celsius every day. “The influence of westerlies during the seasonal transitional phase is responsible for the rapid drop in temperature,” the department confirmed.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted that there is a decent possibility of light snowfall in some areas along the hilly belt.
Today, Jumla had the lowest temperature of 2.0 degrees Celsius, while Janakpur had the highest temperature of 31 degrees Celsius.
