Three lakh Afghans receive aid packages in seven days, says UN

Kathmandu, December 3. On Wednesday, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs(OCHA) announced that in Afghanistan. A group of international humanitarians including the United Nations are currently conducting a need assessment for relief aid distribution in Afghanistan.

Last week, food aid was distributed in four provinces, Badakhshan, Baghlan, Takhar, and Parwan.  In seven days, 2,80,000 internally displaced people and vulnerable communities received packages that include cash and winter assistance, household items, water, sanitation, and hygiene supplies.

According to OCHA, at least 15,000 people in Badakhshan, Baghlan, Balkh, and Kunduz provinces will be receiving humanitarian assistance in coming days.
