Kathmandu, December 21. On Monday, the World Health Organization urged governments around the world to join hands to end the COVID-19 pandemic within the next year.
WHO said in a statement, ‘With festivities coming at the end of the year, all of us want to get back to normal. We need to protect ourselves now. And, 2022 must be the year we end the pandemic.’
WHO urged people across the world to postpone their festive celebrations to next year. “It is better to cancel events now and celebrate later than to celebrate now and grieve later.”
WHO also requested the governments to ensure that everyone in the world has access to enough immunizations.
