You should have “negative test reports” for attending meetings and gatherings: Nepali Government

Kathmandu, January 16. On Sunday, the Nepali Communication Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki announced that the government has issued new guidelines that restrict any large meetings, demonstrations, and gatherings until February 12.

According to the official statement, the mass gatherings can entertain only up to 25 people who must have a negative test result in the antigen test. The organizers must take permission from the local authorities before holding such events.

The order also mentioned that from January 21, the only fully immunised people can attend gathering events. “The government will not allow theatres, bars, fitness clubs, gymnasium, swimming pools and similar businesses to operate till January 29,” said Karki.

Karki also announced that all educational institutions must replace physical classes will online classes until January 29. “However, the preschedule examination and foreign employment processes will not be halted,” Karki noted.

Karki also explained that the government will allow regular puja and prayers on religious sites, but, the devotees must follow health precautions.
