Kathmandu, January 21. Bird counting has begun in the Changunarayan forest, where a large number of bird species are thought to have stayed.
Kamal Raj Gosain, an assistant professor at Tribhuvan University (TU), led a team to conduct a bird census in the Muhanpokhari region of Changunarayan.
The team includes environmental science master’s students and PhD scientists, as well as Birds Conservation Association officials.
According to Gosain, a total of 53 bird species may be discovered in this Changunarayan area, and additional bird studies will be undertaken in the future.
The bird census and investigations, according to Gosain, will also take place in other Bhaktapur forest locations.
