Nepal receives 16 lakh doses of Moderna vaccines from COVAX, World Bank

Kathmandu, January 25. The government of Nepal on Tuesday announced that it has received 1.660 million doses of Moderna vaccines under the joint support of the COVAX facility and the World Bank vaccine assistance.

Health Supplies Chief Surendra Chaurasiya announced that the shipment landed at Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday evening. 

He also announced that the Moderna vaccine will be administered to children between 12-17 years of age.

Chaurasiya also confirmed that Nepal has so far received 41.0 million doses of anti-covid vaccines.
