Information Commissioner presents annual report to the Prime Minister
Kathmandu, February 1. The National Information Commission on Tuesday presented its annual report to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
During an official ceremony organized at the office of the prime minister, Chief Information Commissioner Mahendra Man Gurung presented the report of the fiscal year 2077-78 BS (2020-21) by following Clause 25 (1) of the Right to Information Act in the Constitution of the country.
The annual information report includes the record of all activities carried out by the Commission, as well as contains sensitive information related to national security. The final section of the report also lists out suggestions by the Commissioners team.
At the end of the session, Prime Minister Deuba praised the work of the Commission and opined that the establishment of the Commission has helped in maintaining good governance in the country.
