16 lakh people received anti-covid vaccines in Sudurpaschhim: latest report
Kathmandu, February 4. The Sudurpaschim Health Ministry’s directorate has announced that 1.6 million citizens in the province have received at least one shot of anti-COVID vaccines.
Organizing an official press meet on Friday, the directorate said that 16 lakh 7 thousand people have so far taken their first dose of vaccine. Similarly, 11 lakh 5 thousand people have received the second dose also.
Vaccines developed under brand names Covishield, Astra Zeneca, Johnson &Johnson, Vero Cell and Pfizer, have been distributed in the nine districts of the province.
At present, 2,564 people are currently infected with the deadly virus. Most of them are under home isolation. 155 are currently under oxygen support. 11 are being treated at the Intensive care unit of various hospitals. Three of the patients are critical and are facilitated with ventilation support.
The directorate also confirmed that a total of 625 patients died in the province due to complications of COVID-19 infection.
The directorate also said that a total of 58 thousand people have so far been tested positive for the virus.
