Weather expected to gradually improve from Sunday
Kathmandu, February 5. The Weather Forecasting Division on Saturday announced that the rainfall and snowfall triggered by the westerly low pressure system is likely to weaken from tomorrow.
“The weather will be generally clear with partly cloudy weather across the country on Sunday,” the division said in a bulletin. The Department also urged people to take precautions against cold and possible consequences of snowfall.
While visibility remains poor, no domestic or international flights have been canceled at Tribhuvan International Airport. “The use of Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) technology has allowed for the smooth flight operations,” the office of the airport told reporters.
The minimum temperature in the Kathmandu Valley was measured at 4.3 degree Celsius while the maximum temperature at 9.3 degree Celsius. Similarly, Jumla reports the lowest -4.1 degree Celsius while Janakpur reports the highest 19.0 degree Celsius across the country. (Today at 8:45 am NST)
