Nepal receives 8 lakh doses of AstraZeneca vaccines from British Government

Kathmandu, February 7. The government of Nepal on Monday announced that it has received 8,62,080 doses of the “AstraZeneca” anti-covid vaccine from the British government.

Health Supplies Chief Surendra Chaurasiya confirmed that the shipment which landed at Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday, was a part of the 2.17 million doses of vaccine assistance provided by the British government through the COVAX facility.

“The second shipment of remaining 1.312 million doses of vaccines will arrive on February 13,” Chaurasiya told reporters.

Chaurasiya also confirmed that Nepal has so far received 41.0 million doses of anti-covid vaccines.
