Kathmandu, February 9. The World Food Programme (WFP) warned on Tuesday that an estimated 13 million people in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia are suffering starvation.

The world organization reported that the starvation is the impact of severe drought, which is likely to increase in the coming months. “The drought is causing livestock deaths, which is wreaking havoc on pastoral communities,” said official spokesman Tomson Phiri.

Poor rainfall in the last three years has harmed 70% of overall harvests and caused market price inflation for food, water, and other commodities.
