Nepal Airlines plans to launch commercial flights to Illam’s Sukilumba airport; Test flight today

Kathmandu , February 9. Nepal Airlines Corporation on Wednesday announced that it will start commercial flights to Sukilumba airport in Illam.

The state owned airliner is preparing to carry out a test flight at the newly constructed airport. The airport is located in the 9 number ward of the Illam municipality.

Binayak Bhattarai, who is an engineer at the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) told reporters that there has been no test landing since the runway was blacktopped.

He also said that the test flight shall be carried out on Wednesday, if the weather remains clear.
