Protests against MCC takes place at New Baneshwor

Kathmandu, February 16. Situation is tensed in New Baneshwor in Kathmandu as protestors have been protesting against the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
The protests started from Maitighar and headed towards the Parliament Building at New Baneshwor. Police have used tear gas, water pipes and even sticks to disperse the protestors.
The cadres of Maoist Center, CPN-Unified Socialist, Biplove and other parties have been protesting against MCC since this morning.
While transportation across the route has been disturbed, MCC table will not be presented at the parliament today. The decision was made after the meeting between Prachanda and PM Sher Bahadur Deuba.
