US wishes for India to take its side if Russia invades Ukraine

Kathmandu, February 17. The United States is hopeful that India will stand by its side, just in case if Russia invades Ukraine.
Ned Price, State Department spokesperson said that there has been discussion on Russia and Ukraine during the recent Quad meeting in Melbourne. He also said that there has been a “strong consensus” and that there needs to be a diplomatic resolution for the problem in Ukraine.
He also revealed that India is committed towards rules based international order and both US and India are in favor of a free and open Indo Pacific. He added that no big country can bully a small country and it shall not be tolerated be it China or Russia.
The West has reported that Russia has deployed 7,000 troops at the Ukrainian border with more arriving until Wednesday.
Price has said that the matter has become concerning and the world should be ready for an invasion to take place any time.
