US closes embassy in Belarus, allows staff leave Russia

Kathmandu, February 28. The US State Department has closed the Embassy of United States in Belarus.
Non-essential staff in the Embassy of US in Russia are also allowed to leave. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the suspension of services from the embassy at Minsk on Monday.
He said that such steps were taken for security and safety issues as Russian forces attacked Ukraine.
