Bear spotted at Taplejung District Hospital Ward

Kathmandu, March 4. A bear entered the patient’s ward at the Taplejung District Hospital on Thursday. According to the hospital, the bear was found at the gynecology ward of the hospital at 11 pm.

The bear has been locked inside the ward with the help of police, as revealed by hospital doctor Soning Lama.

Lama further said that the bear might have entered the ward through the back door.

Ramesh Yadav, the Warden at the Kanchanjangha Area Conservation Council said that preparations are underway to rescue the bear which is co-ordinated with National Trust for Nature Conservation.

It is projected that the bear might have descended to escape the cold weather.
