Blasts at Pakistan’s mosque kills 56, 194 injured

Kathmandu, March 4. A suicide bomber has struck inside Shiite Muslim mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan during Friday prayers. Officials have reported of 56 deaths and 194 injured people from the blast.
The violence began when two armed attackers opened fire on police outside a mosque in Peshawar’s old city, according to Peshawar Police Chief Muhammed Ejaz Khan. During the gunfight, one attacker and one police officer were killed, and another police officer was injured. The other assailant hurried into the mosque and detonated a bomb.
Ambulances were rushed into the narrow streets to take the injured Lady Reading Hospital. It is reported that at least 150 worshippers were present inside the mosque during the time of the blast.
Pakistani PM Imran Khan has condemned the attack.
No one has claimed responsibility of the attack.
