Kathmandu, March 14. The Taiwanese Defense Ministry has said that Taiwan’s aircrafts have warned away 13 Chinese aircrafts that entered their air defense zone.

While China claims Taiwan as its own territory, Taiwan has complained of multiple such incidents in the last few years.

The ministry revealed that the latest mission involved seven Chinese J-10 and five J-16 fighters as well as one Y-8 electronic warfare aircraft. Previously, Taiwan reported of similar incident on January 23, where 39 Chinese aircrafts were spotted.

The ministry further said that they sent fighters to warn the Chinese aircraft and also deployed air defense missiles to keep track of their activities.

Taiwan is in high alert since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. However, China has never used force to bring Taiwan under its control.
