Kathmandu, March 25. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) approved the deployment of four new battle groups on Thursday.
The battle groups will be deployed at the eastern side of the alliance at Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. The announcement was made in a press release by Jens Stoltenberg, NATO’s secretary general.
After the addition, NATO will have a total of eight battle groups.
Furthermore, the heads of states of the organization was called to discuss upon the matter of Ukraine.
Additionally, Stoltenberg revealed that that NATO has activated chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense elements.
