Japan, Philippines hold first 2+2 meeting

Kathmandu, April 9. Japan and Philippines held their first “2+2” talks on Saturday. The two countries expressed serious concern over the security over the Indo-Pacific region.
Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi, Defence Minister Nobuo Kishi and their respective Philippine counterparts Teodoro Locsin and Delfin Lorenzana attended the meeting.
Moreover, the meeting further enhanced defense and security co-operation between the two countries.
The ministers vowed for economic security and stressed for “the importance of an international law-based economic order.”
