WHO Chief Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to visit Nepal

Kathmandu, April 15. The chief of World Health Organization (WHO), Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is scheduled to visit Nepal next week.

The Ministry of Health and Population(MoHP) has invited the chief to Nepal for a three-day official visit. According to an official from the Ministry, Ghebreyesus’s team will comprise of WHO Southeast Asia Regional Director Poonam Khetrapal Singh, and WHO Country Strategy and Support Director Dr Shambhu Acharya.

Further, during the visit, Ghebreyesus is scheduled meet Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Health Minister Birodh Khatiwada, Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka among others.

The WHO chief will arrive in Nepal on April 21.
