Kathmandu, April 19. New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern met Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong on Tuesday.

Ardern is on a three-day visit to Singapore. This is her first visit post the covid pandemic. She arrived at Singapore with a 12-member business delegation, fiancé Clarke Gayford and Trade Minister Damien O’Connor.

Moreover, an orchid is named after Ardern in Singapore. It is a part of Singapore’s ‘orchid diplomacy’, where in a foreign personality is named after an orchid species grown in Singapore.

Further, both the leaders have condemned Russia’s actions in Ukraine and have already imposed sanctions.

The two countries’ leaders have agreed to work together in matters of trade, security and opportunities of mutual benefits.

Additionally, Ardern is scheduled to visit Japan post her visit to Singapore.
