US congressional delegation meets PM Deuba

Kathmandu, April 23. A five-person delegation led by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand met with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba at his official residence in Baluwatar on Saturday. The delegation also paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Deuba.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the Prime Minister and the US delegation discussed different facets of Nepal-US relations as well as issues of mutual welfare and common interest.

They also reviewed the friendship between Nepal and the United States, as well as the governments and parliaments of both countries. Further, they discussed for promotion of partnership and cooperation among the people.

Additionally, the ministry revealed that the delegation met Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Narayan Khadka. They discussed upon matters of economic and mutual interest.

Moreover, the visit of US Senators is believed to strengthen relations of both countries at parliament level.
