Registration of candidacies for local level election commences
Kathmandu, April 24. The candidature registration for upcoming local level elections has started Sunday.
According to the Nepali Election Commission, the registration started from 10 am. Candidates can register their names at the Office of Election Officer set up at 753 local levels. Registration is open from Sunday to Monday with timings from 10am to 5pm.
The Office of the Election Officer will publish the final name list of candidates on Monday evening.
Furthermore, filing of complaints against the candidates will take place on April 26, verification and scrutiny of the nomination papers will be done and decision taken on the complaints on April 27 and 28, the names of the nominated candidates would be published on April 28. If any candidate wishes to withdraw his/her nomination, then he/she can do on April 29.
The final list is scheduled to be published on April 29 and the election symbols will be allocated to the candidates on April 30.
The Election Commission said all works related to nominations is to be done by Office of the Election Officer concerned.
