Kathmandu, April 26. On the occasion of the 95th National Photo Journalism Day, the Photo Journalist (PJ) Club has organized a photo exhibition titled “Photo Journalism from Lense” at Basantapur.
Press Council Chair Bal Krishna Basnet and the President of Federation of Nepali Journalists Bipul Pokharel inaugurated the expo which featured 30 photos.
The displayed photos depicted the risks and challenges faced by photojournalists in their fieldwork. Despite the difficulties, photojournalists continue to work because photographs play a crucial part in making news more accurate, authentic, and appealing.
The community of photojournalists has requested the government to implement press-friendly laws to protect their safety.
