Kathmandu, April 30. US President Joe Biden has said that he won’t let Russia blackmail other countries to get their way out of sanctions. Biden tweeted on Friday, “We will not let Russia intimidate or blackmail their way out of sanctions.”

Earlier, on Wednesday, Russia announced it will stop their energy supplies to Poland and Bulgaria. Russia has further said to do the same with other countries as well.

The gas cut-off was announced after Putin said that ‘unfriendly’ countries need to pay for the gas in Russian currency. Poland and Bulgaria denied the demand.

Biden further said,”We are working with other nations — like South Korea, Japan, and Qatar — that support our effort to help our European allies threatened by Russia with gas blackmail meet their energy needs in other ways. Aggression will not win. Threats will not win.”

Moreover, Biden also said that Europe and the world needs to move forward towards clean energy.
