Tara Air flight from Pokhara-Jomsom missing, rescue and search operations started
Kathmandu, May 29. A Tara Air plane scheduled to fly from Pokhara to Jomsom went missing earlier on Sunday.
The plane was carrying 22 people, that included 16 Nepalis and 6 foreigners. The flight took off at 9:55 am and went contactless at 10:11 am.
The plane is suspected to have crashed in Ghansa, Mustang. Further, rescue and search operations have been carried out, but was halted due to bad weather. The search operations will resume Monday.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale informed that search operations have been carried out with the help of Nepal Army and three helicopters were on standby in Pokhara and Jomsom for rescue.
Moreover, an MP from the main opposition party CPN (UML), Prem Prasad Tulachan demanded immediate formation of a commission of inquiry to find out the truth of the incident at the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting today.
