Indian singer KK dies of Cardiac Arrest; Fans blame concert organizers
Kathmandu, June 2. Famous Indian playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, better known by his stage name KK, died of heart arrest on Tuesday night.
While performing live at a concert in Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha on Tuesday night, Singer KK suddenly fell ill. At 8:30 pm, he returned back to his hotel to take rest.
Minutes later, KK fainted on the hotel floor minutes later and was rushed to the CMRI hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The cause of death, according to the postmortem report, was cardiac arrest. There have also been reports of chronic lung and heart issues.
Fans blame concert organizers
Many of his followers blamed the event hall’s terrible management. The Nazrul Manch auditorium normally holds about 2,400 people, but it was packed to the brim with almost 6,000 people.
The air ventilation system failed due to overcrowding, and the hall got extremely hot. Many people in the audience took social media to say that they had trouble breathing inside the hall.
In the event videos, KK was seen sweating profusely and wiping his face.
Moreover, organizers sprayed fire extinguisher fumes, which may have suffocated the 53-year-old singer.
