Kathmandu, June 8. Following a sharp rise in temperature, local administrations in the Kanchanpur district have begun suspending classes at schools.

To reduce the impact of the blazing weather on children’s and teachers’ health, the Bedkot Municipality has declared a three-day break from Wednesday.

“We would shorten the festive vacations to compensate for the canceled classes,” a municipal representative told reporters.

Other municipalities are also planning to arrange breaks during hot summer days.
