Prohibitory order issued in Achham’s Mangalsen following a clash between public and police

Kathmandu, July 5. Achham’s District Administration has issued a prohibitory order for an indefinite period in Mangalsen.
Information Officer Dipesh Rijal announced that the administration took this action to protect the environment within the district headquarters from violent protests and clashes.
14 Policemen injured in Clash Yesterday
In a scuffle between the locals and police in Achham, 14 police personnel have been wounded.
The incident took place at ward number four of Panchadewal Binayak when the police tried to control violent protesters, who demanded justice over the death of Binod Shahi.
“We had to fire 24 shells of tear gas to control the mass,” Inspector Kailash Bista told reporters. He continued, “six of our men are in serious condition”
Binod Shahi Case
On June 1, 15-year-old Binod Shahi went missing from home.
Four days later, he dead body was found on a nearby cliff. His family had filed a FIR against 13 people including the newly elected mayor of Panchadewal municipality Ambika Chalaune.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Narayan Dangi informed that Police is working on the case. “We have already arrested five people in connection with the case. We are searching for 7 other people listed on the FIR report.”
