Army helicopter rescues 20-year-old pregnant woman in Achham

Kathmandu, July 23. 20-year-old Krishna BK of Turmakhand Rural Municipality, Achham has been flown to Surkhet in a Nepali Army helicopter as she could not give birth even three days after labor began.

She had been admitted to the after she started experiencing pregnancy labor, but her delivery was not possible there and she was airlifted to the Provincial Hospital in Surkhet.

Rajendra Bista, auxiliary health worker at Bhulu health center, told reporters that Krishna was rescued under the President’s Women Upliftment Program.

Surkhet’s Hospital has confirmed that the woman gave birth through cesarean (or C-section surgery).
